 Ben Pearce has a lot of warmth and soul to offer to your needly little ears. His main stay is in Manchester, but he recently played international gigs in Croatia, Spain, and Italy. Fresh off the pan is “Patticakes,” a smooth single that slid its way on to the plate of BBC’s Annie Mac. I still can’t get it off my table because it has taken residence in my own mind (and I just can’t get it out, not that I would want to). Take the chance to download it while it is available.

“What I Might Do” is my favourite type of Deep House and probably one of his best work. The lyrics are curious. When viewed on their own they seem better suited to a hardcore gang rap track. Yet, they almost seem highbrow when coupled with such a well crafted mature musical composition. You really need a good set of headphones, car stereo, or loud speakers to notice the tasty low tones. This song has already reached 4 million views (and is, I must admit, overused in my personal mixes, but I just can’t stop coming back to it).
