The Cocktail Hour feat. HOT MOUTH

ITS FRIDAY!

I have been talking about Hot Mouth for months now. Hes been blowing be away with releases and remixes like this is bouncing big-room banger, Totally Worth It, and this crunchy remix of Sebastien Drums – French Rules. Now finally hes getting a coveted spotlight appearance in the BLACKOUTBBQs feature timeslot – ze coktail hour.

Just recently coming onto my radar I’ve been giddy with excitement for this up and coming DJ. What I didnt know until now is for 3 years Jon Pegnato was 1/2 of the majorly successful DJ duo LA RIOTS! This guy has been around the whole time! Since going seperate ways with the LA Riots project in 2011, Jon has been rocking dancefloors with own style of funky electro and making his own big waves in the EDM world. I funking love it. I cant wait for more.

Also, when will you be coming to Vancouver? tis not that far from LA.

Charlie Darker

Charlie Darker popped up on my radar after doing a particularly crunchy electro remix of Diplos Make You Pop. It was released in a remix package and his signature sound on the track really stood out for me.

So ive been keeping my eye on this 19 year old Canadian kid from Toronto. Hes making a splash in the electro scene and has had the opportunity to share the stage with the likes of Wolfgang Gartner, LA Riots, Mord Fustang, and Peace Treaty. Hes climbed the beatport charts as well reaching #5 with his official remix of Mord Fustangs Electric Dream.

But whats really got my face contorted up in a scrunchy unattractive bass face is his first installment of a monthly mix called Anger Management. Youll taste a good amount of his originals and remixes and some fresh bangers from the rest of the crunchy electro scene. These are ma jams. Look out for this kid.

Just Dance Now! LA Riots

I cant get enough of LA Riots dance parties! Sasquatch fest marked my third time seeing Daniel Le Disko work the crowd into a sunny-sweaty-mid day dance riot and he did not dissapoint. Enjoy some of these dirty dancy beats:
