Guetta just might gain back the respect of the underground w/ Lunar…

You might have heard my rants about how Guetta has hit rock bottom with his mainstream productions.. I mean he’s not the same man that produced the Guettablaster and Pop Life (even One Love, though that was the turning point)... I still recall the way Joan of Arc used send geyser’s of dance moves into my ears every time I listened to that build-n-drop.

Anyway, despite all the crap on the radio that had that reminiscent sounds of the guetta-tings, one collaboration my dancing feet did approve of was on of Afrojack with Guetta. Louder Than Words. I was shocked! First of all, it was a well thought out and produced minimal-house track that really made it happen last summer. But the second shock factor was that Guetta was able to tame the beast of a pitch-bender Afrojack into such a pleasant sounding tune.

And so now as a promo single for the upcoming new album Guetta teamed up w/Afrojack to release this reminder, for us true electronic music lovers, that he’s still got the touch. It’s a single off the Disc 2 part of the Nothing But The Beat album that is so far promising to be something powerful, dark, and floor ripping. The second disc is to be an all instrumental production with some crucial collaborations with Avicii and Afrojack.

Here’s the track listing for Nothing But The Beat Disc #2

1. The Alphabet
2. Lunar (David Guetta & Afrojack)
3. Sunshine (David Guetta & Avicii)
4. Little Bad Girl (Instrumental Version)
5. Metro Music
6. Toy Story
7. The Future
8. Dreams
9. Paris
10. Glasgow

Lunar is the single I’m talking about.  This is what made me revive my hopes for the long lost house dj. (Not to undermine the man’s brilliance and talents. I’m always a fan at heart.) Be sure to also check out Glasgow, its nice and Daft Punky in the break and very blade-techno in the drop…
